Tamika Hrobowski-Houston

VP, SOUTHEAST REGION

Tamika Hrobowski, was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL.  Tamika earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIU-C).  While at SIU, Tamika tutored student-athletes on the basketball team.  Subsequently, Tamika attended the University of Illinois College of Law in Urbana and earned her Juris Doctor.  During law school, Tamika was a graduate assistant to the Academic Advisor for Intercollegiate Athletics and was responsible for running study table and coordinating tutoring, as well as monitoring class attendance and progress.  Tamika has maintained close ties with some of the athletes that she supervised and has valuable relationships with other current and former collegiate and professional athletes who have encouraged her in her efforts to break into the male dominated realm of athlete representation.

While Tamika was interested in athlete representation at the time, after law school, she veered off course somewhat and began her legal career as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Little Rock, Arkansas.  For four years she prosecuted crimes ranging from theft to capital murder.  Tamika then relocated to Atlanta, GA where she became an Assistant Regional Counsel for SSA.  Subsequently, she became one of three Regional Counsels and a Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) in SSA’s Office of the Chief Counsel to the Inspector General, where she pursued and prosecuted Social Security fraud.  In 2005, Tamika went into private practice, opening Hrobowski Law Office, P.C. with practice areas that include litigation, family law, SSA Appeals and Entertainment.  Armed with her legal experience, which has included negotiations of all types, as well as contract review, preparation and Litigation, as well as a renewed interest in athlete representation, she decided to become an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor in August 2009.

Tamika’s goals are in line with those of KRS III in that she is seeking to provide athletes, who are keenly aware that their talent is a blessing, with representation that allows them to concentrate fully on their performance on the playing field with the confidence that she is hard at work protecting and promoting their interests off of the field.  As KRS III’s newest team member, Tamika represents the expansion of our presence to the Southeast and Atlanta, GA where a plethora of opportunities abound for us and our athletes.  Tamika married Bobby Houston in August 2009.
